Steve Young serves as the Chief Commercial Officer for PathGroup, where he is responsible for the company’s comprehensive commercial strategy and the alignment of sales and marketing initiatives to drive growth. With over 20 years of dedicated leadership within the organization, Steve has been a key architect of PathGroup’s market expansion and its reputation for superior service in the diagnostic space.

Steve’s tenure at PathGroup began in 2003 as a Territory Sales Manager. Over the two decades that followed, he held roles of increasing responsibility, including Assistant Vice President and Director of Core Sales, and most recently, Senior Vice President of Sales. In these capacities, he led the development of high-performing sales teams and played a pivotal role in transitioning the company into one of the largest and most respected pathology providers in the United States. His deep institutional knowledge and extensive experience in laboratory sales have been instrumental in fostering long-term partnerships with health systems and physician practices.

Steve earned his Bachelor of Science in Communication and Business from the University of Alabama.

Dr. Golembeski joined PathGroup in January 2022, as Chairman of the Department of Pathology for Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN. A native of Cincinnati, OH, Dr. Golembeski graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Cincinnati College of Arts and Sciences with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. He then continued at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine earning his medical degree in 1999, followed by post-graduate education at the University of Michigan including residencies in Internal Medicine and Anatomic Pathology, fellowships in Surgical Pathology and Gastrointestinal/Hepatobiliary Pathology, and a visiting fellowship at Oxford University Hospitals (John Radcliffe) in the United Kingdom. He has served as Director of Hepatopathology in Phoenix, AZ, and Associate Director of Women’s Health Labs in Memphis, TN. Prior to assuming the current role of Chairman at Baptist, he completed an executive MBA at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Haslam College of Business. Vicki has more than 20 years of legal experience, with the last 10 years advising multi-site national healthcare providers as in-house counsel. Vicki has extensive leadership experience scaling multi-site healthcare companies, having served most recently as the Chief Legal Officer of Mindpath Health, an outpatient mental health provider, and General Counsel of American Renal Associates, a publicly-traded operator of dialysis clinics. Vicki began her legal career working at international law firms, including Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, where she advised financial institutions and corporate clients on commercial finance, M&A and bankruptcy and restructuring matters. Vicki completed her JD/MBA at Suffolk University, and undergraduate degree at Tufts University.

Dr. Ben Davis was Founder and Chief Executive Officer of PathGroup from 1996-Present  and now serves as Co-Chairman of the PathGroup Board of Directors.  He joined Associated Pathologists in 1986 and prior to that was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology, Vanderbilt University Medical Center and School of Medicine following a Residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Vanderbilt.  Dr. Davis received his Undergraduate Degree in Molecular Biology at Vanderbilt University and his Medical Degree at the University of Arkansas School of Medicine.  Dr. Davis previously served as Chairman of the HCA Healthcare Network Institutional Review Board from 1989 to 2008 as well as Group Leader of the Experimental Pathology Unit at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research, Molecular Biology Branch in Bern Switzerland from 1981 to 1983.

Dr. Chandra joined PathGroup in 2011 as Associate Medical Director of Molecular Pathology and now currently serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Genomics Officer at PathGroup. Scott joined PathGroup from 3M, where he was Senior Vice President, Global Supply Chain and Lean Six Sigma responsible for end-to-end operations strategy and continuous improvement. Prior to 3M, Scott was the head of Enterprise Operations at Quest Diagnostics where he led the Operational Excellence strategies across Patient Services, Logistics, Lab Operations, Customer Service, Global Procurement and Revenue Cycle Management with a significant focus on digital transformation. Scott also spent over 16 years in the MedTech industry where he was the Chief Supply Chain Officer at Hill-Rom, now part of Baxter, and held multiple executive positions of increasing responsibility at GE Healthcare. Early in his career, Scott was an Officer in the United States Air Force, serving in both operational and R&D roles.
Daniel A. Valenti

Dan Valenti joined PathGroup in 2013 as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer. He has served in a similar capacity for a diverse group of both Fortune 100 companies and startups in a number of industry segments including healthcare, banking, brokerage, energy and utilities. Prior to joining PathGroup, Mr. Valenti was the Chief Information Officer for Ameritox, Ltd., where he led the IT organization in the development of a Laboratory Management Information System and multiple customer-facing and mobile applications. This included the management and oversight of Business Intelligence and Security, and development of the company’s Customer Engagement Center. In addition to his years of experience leading IT teams, Mr. Valenti has a JD and MBA and has worked as an attorney and consultant.

Mike Huguelet joined PathGroup in 2024 as our EVP and Chief Commercial Officer and is responsible for PathGroup’s commercial strategies. Mike has more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience partnering with physicians and health systems across various medical specialties and leading high-performing growth teams. His previous executive roles include positions most recently with Mindpath Health, where he served as Chief Development Officer and Chief Operating Officer, U.S. Renal Care, DaVita Kidney Care, and as an Advisor for a vascular surgery practice. After beginning his career with Arthur Andersen, he has been responsible for various growth initiatives including M&A, business development/ sales, and joint venture partnerships. Mike completed an MBA with a focus in Finance at the University of Colorado at Boulder, and undergraduate degrees in Finance and MIS at Saint Louis University.

Chris Brengard joined PathGroup in July 2024 as Chief Executive Officer. Chris has over 30 years of healthcare leadership experience, including most recently as CEO and Chairman of Mindpath Health. Prior to Mindpath, Chris founded and served as CEO and Chairman of US Renal Care, overseeing their growth from one location in Paragould, AR to over 500 locations across 33 states. Prior to US Renal, Chris had various operations roles at Select Medical and Continental Medical Systems. Chris graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science in Finance.
