• Manages Hematology/Blood Bank/Urinalysis/Serology department operations on a day-to-day basis.
• Manages the ordering and inventory of supplies for the Hematology/Blood Bank/Urinalysis /Serology departments.
• Responsible for validating and correlations on new equipment and new procedures that pertain to the departments.
• Responsible for the performance calibration verification for all departmental equipment.
• Responsible for equipment maintenance including training of staff when appropriate.
• Develops, implements and maintains effective department QA programs and monitors pertaining to the departments.
• Coordinates the maintenance, development and implementation of departmental polices and procedures.
• Assist in hiring the appropriate staff for laboratory services.
• Assist in preparing departmental annual operating and capital budgets.
• Assists in establishing and executing departmental long and short-term goals.
• Work with other departments within PathGroup and subsidiaries.
• Present material to various committees.
• Participate in the Corporate Compliance Program.
• Responsible for meeting the compliance guidelines for the laboratory industry.
• Must be familiar with Corporate Compliance Program and Corporate Policies.
• Protect assets of company.

• Establishes and executes departmental long and short-term goals.
• Develops, implements and maintains effective department QA programs and monitors.
• Work with other departments within PathGroup and subsidiaries.
• Present material to various committees.
• Participate in the Corporate Compliance Program.
• Responsible for meeting the compliance guidelines for the laboratory industry.

• Manage operations of all three laboratory disciplines on a day-to-day basis.
• Participates in hiring the appropriate staff for laboratory services on the Night Shift.
• Assist in strategic development of the laboratory services.
• Achieve budget profitability objectives through controlling costs by effectively utilizing personnel and resources.
• Maintain appropriate standards to meet licensing and regulatory requirements and uphold company policies and integrity.
• Protect assets of company.
• Coordinates the development and implementation of polices and procedures that guide and support Laboratory Services.
• Establishes and executes departmental long and short-term goals.
• Maintain direct contact with department managers on a regular basis to access work flow processes.
• Develops implements and maintains effective department QA programs and monitors.
• Work with other departments within PathGroup and subsidiaries.
• Present material to various committees.
• Participate in the Corporate Compliance Program.

• Progressively sell cytology, histology, and diagnostic laboratory services to physician offices, surgery centers and hospitals.
